Dr. UD Gupta is a veteran Scientist with 40+ years of teaching and researchexperience, specializing in microbiology and molecular biology. Dr. Gupta heldnumerous key scientific and academic leadership positions across variousuniversities and ICMR institutions, has been member of several prestigiousscientific and governing bodies and panel member for several reviewcommittees in ICMR, DBT etc. He has been a distinguished professor andprincipal investigator of several key funded projects in Biotechnology.​

Dr. Gupta earned his PhD in Animal Genetics & Breeding from KurukshetraUniversity, and published over 135 research papers in international andNational Journals, written >13 books and chapters and attended more than130 National and International conferences. He is a recipient of JALMA Orationaward for work in Mycobacterial Diseases, Dr K.R . Bhardwaj Award for SmallLaboratory Animals and is Fellow of Society of Immunology &Immunopathology. He guided numerous postgraduate and PhD scholars andled major public health research projects. Dr. Gupta is currently serving as aConsultant for BSL laboratories at ICMR, advising on biosafety and regulatorycompliance. ​
